The Company has acquired some valuable experience in this emerging area, which is steadily gaining importance as more and more new and improved Expressways and Highways are becoming available to road users. Engineers from the Company have been trained in the U.K. and have worked with Owen Williams Group on Network Management in East Essex County and Brentwood Phase I work. This comprises maintenance management of highways and structures, including planning, field investigation and survey, design, contracting and finally construction supervision, quality management and assurance and Technical Audit.

This management also includes inspection, assessment of distress and rehabilitation of bridges. SOWiL Limited completed the pioneering work of preparation of the Contract Documents and Maintenance Manual for Operation & Maintenance of the Mumbai-Pune Expressway, based on which contract has been awarded and O&M operations are being executed.
