SOWiL Limited has a fully computerised Bridge and Structural Division, equipped to design all types of bridges, flyovers, viaducts and other structures, which functions under the overall advice and guidance of Shri Ninan Koshi, an eminent bridge engineer and Chairman of the company; he is an ex-ADG (Bridges) and ex-DG (Roads) of the then Ministry of Surface Transport.
SOWiL Limited has recently provided consultancy services for detailed design of major bridges/ structures as under as part of preparation of Detailed Project Reports for major highway projects -

• 10 major bridges including over Beas River-672 m (15 spans of 44.81 m each) and Chakki River-263.42 m (2 x 37.2 m + 5 x 37.8 m spans, 2 ROBs and one RUB on Jalandhar to Pathankot section of NH-1 A (km 26 to km 110) for NHAI
• Four major bridges of span from 105 m to 230 m on Jammu Pathankot section of NH-1A from km 80 to 97.2.
• 416 m long bridge on River Rapti near Gorakhpur on NH-28.
• 250 m long bridge on river Gomti alongwith two grade separated interchanges, 11 underpasses and 3 ROBs (centre spans of 96/116 m) on Lucknow Bypass connecting NH-28 with NH-25.
• Two numbers 6 lane ROBs (1250 m and 1000 m), besides a number of other bridges and structures for widening to 4/6 lane of NH-77 and 19 from Patna to Muzzafarpur section in the State of Bihar.
• Detailed design of Agia-Phyla flyover in Cyprus
• 120 m long Bridge on River Patiali ki Rao on NH-21 in Punjab
• 6-lane 74 m long bridge over Rohini Drain in NCT of Delhi

SOWiL Limited has undertaken detailed design and construction supervision of the following major bridges/ structures:

• 8 ROBs (600 to 700 m each) and One Flyover (800 m) for Urban Infrastructure Development for Jaipur Town, an Asian Development Bank funded project.
• Seven under passes of 78 m span each, two underpasses and one grade separated interchange on Mumbai - Pune Expressway.

Other major Bridge Projects are as under:

• Independent Engineer for Construction of 1032 m long 4-lane Chhayapuri ROB (Bridge portion 748 m of 36 spans of 20 m each and
• Independent Engineer - Belgaum-Maharashtra Border section of NH-4 having 6 Major Bridges of lengths 192, 136,135,136, 102 and 85 m respectively
• Quality Control for 446 m long high level Prestressed Concrete Bridge over Soan Nadi in Punjab.
